We all have different preferences, sleep patterns and daily productive styles, as such you may need to tailor your own morning routine. We have created a selection of ideas that may offer inspiration to assist you in tailoring your own routine.
Drinking a glass of water. Drinking water helps in bodily processes including transportation of nutrients to the cells, lubrication of joints and maintaining of body temperature.
Express how you feel by using a single word. Think, draw or write how you feel. This will assist you in realizing where you are at the moment in life.
Do a short exercise session. Engaging in a 10-minute exercise session can make a difference to your mental and physical wellbeing.
Meditation. Meditation can help you develop a sense of calmness, peace and balance that can benefit your emotional and overall well-being.
Brush your teeth. Brushing your teeth not only kills the bad bacteria but if done mindfully and noticing what you’re doing can make you calmer and happier. Try and do the same with other chores.
Listening to music. The researchers from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology states that listening to songs with a melody can have an energizing effect by increasing arousal, cognition and attention.
Make your bed. By making your bed in the morning you will have accomplished the first task of your day. This simple act of tidying can motivate you to undertake many more tasks and also give you a sense of accomplishment.
Being grateful. Try and think of 3 things you are grateful for. Being grateful can make you happier, resilient and more likable.
Have your breakfast. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. By having your breakfast you replenish your glucose and other essential nutrients needed for your good health. It also improves your energy levels and alertness.
Check your distractions. Counting your distractions may be difficult to start with but could improve your concentration over a period of time.
